Asia's major hotspots
are reeling from high number
imported cases

All countries that had previously registered good
progress in halting the spread of the virus, is now
dealing with huge number of imported cases, as
citizen return back from overseas.

This problem is also current faced by China in various
provinces, that had reopened to foreigners.

New hotspots in Asia are
mostly under control

With the exception of Pakistan, which is trending
on Hubei's trend line, the rest of Asia seemed to be
deal with the situation well, and hopefully this will
remain to be the case.

emerging hotspots in Asia
are all classified as Low Risk
at current juncture

None of the emerging hotspots of Asian countries
that had just passed their 100 mark is trending anywhere
close to even Henan's trend line. This is a good sign.

South East Asia
Overview

The numbers coming out of Thailand, Indonesia
and Philippines are questionable. If the reported
numbers are to be believed, the situation is under
control.

However, it could also be a result of under-testing or
misdiagnosis. As a number of imported cases received
in Singapore were infected in Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia,
we have good reasons to believe that community spreading
is currently happening in these countries.

We strongly encourage all South East Asian countries to take
more drastic containment measure to keep the situation
under control.
